Study UK’s Northern Ireland campaign highlights
From July to November 2024, Study UK ran a social media campaign to raise awareness and inspire prospective international students to study in Northern Ireland. In April 2024, our social media agency visited Queen’s University Belfast and Ulster University, working with international students Isabella, Moksh, Lokesh, and Nana to capture their experiences.
The campaign showcased what makes Northern Ireland a great place to study—including its world-class universities, stunning landscapes, vibrant student life, and affordable cost of living.
Our content featured:
- A 'Welcome to Northern Ireland' video.
- Individual student videos: Isabella, Lokesh, Nana and Moksh.
- A 'Game of Thrones' themed Instagram stories quiz.
- An '8 top reasons to study in Northern Ireland' blog.
- A visit to the Titanic Museum video featuring Queen's University Belfast student, Isabella.
- A video featuring the spectular landscapes of Northern Ireland.
- Instagram takeovers with Queen's University Belfast and Ulster University.
Results
The campaign ran across Study UK's social media channels (Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, and TikTok) and delivered outstanding results:
- 7.6 million impressions (total views)
- 4 million engagements (likes, shares, and interactions)
- 3.7 million video views
- 34.7K link clicks to our Northern Ireland webpage.
This campaign successfully highlighted Northern Ireland as a top destination for international students, bringing its unique student experience to life through authentic storytelling and engaging content.
