This is an interdisciplinary degree with a global approach to studying social and political thought, not just from Europe as is common in other universities, but also from societies across Asia, Africa, and the Americas, discovering the key concepts in social and political thought from different regions of the world and learning to discuss how these regions have imagined and re-imagined themselves throughout history.
GREAT Scholarships at the University of St Andrews
The University of St Andrews is offering five GREAT Scholarships, each worth £20,000, available for the 2023-24 academic year for students from:
- China (one scholarship)
- Indonesia (one scholarship)
- Mexico (one scholarship)
Two scholarships are available for students from Ghana (one scholarship) and Thailand (one scholarship) for the following taught master's programmes:
- MSc Marine Ecosystem Management
- MSc Geochemistry
- MSc Strategic Earth Resources
- MSc Sustainable Development
- MSc Energy Ethics
