• MA Performance (Music)

  With an emphasis on performance instead of academic work, this programme is designed for students who aim to make music their life’s work.

  We encourage our students to participate in an artistic community which responds to the aspirations of tomorrow’s musicians. Our programmes offer unique opportunities in cross-genre and multi-disciplinary collaboration. Our students benefit from partnerships with professional organisations, frequently working with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, Scottish Opera and more.

• MA/MFA Acting/Directing Classical and Contemporary Text

  Individuality is at the core of the programme. We work with artists who use their social, moral, and ethical values to animate their practice.

  With support from the staff team, you will write your own learning outcomes, determine your trajectory and ultimately flourish as both a learner and a creative practitioner.

  It’s an intense programme where actors and directors work together, creating a dynamic community rooted in creative collaboration. Highlights include developing original digital work, performing or directing contemporary performance working in proto-professional ensembles and completing a month’s residency at Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, London.

• MA/MFA Production Design/Management

  A programme for those seeking to further enhance their skills as lighting, sound or set and costume designers, or as stage or production managers. Design students will focus on an area of specialist study, while Management students will deepen their practical expertise.

  You will do this in a collaborative, creative team environment developing existing skills and knowledge through personal research and production placements, working as an ensemble company alongside our MA/MFA Classical and Contemporary Text Acting/Directing students.
