Why get involved?

The Study UK Alumni Awards raise the profile of UK higher education globally and promote the UK as a study destination for international students. Press and PR coverage of the 2019-20 Alumni Award winners and finalists reached an audience of more than 230 million globally.  

The design assets are for use by any organisation and/or person that is part of the Study UK Alumni Awards campaign. This includes UK Higher Education Institutions wishing to promote the campaign, participating British Council country offices, scholarship awarding institutions and bodies, and government partners.

If you use any of the photography from the images folder please credit British Council.

Promotional materials

We have a collection of Alumni Award branded assets that you can use to promote the awards to your alumni.

The assets are available to download from the British Council Brand Hub. Non-British Council colleagues will need to register on the Brand Hub. To do this please:

  1. Register for a new account here https://brandhub.britishcouncil.org/login/
  2. Select ‘partner’ option as account type
  3. Add Huw.Davies@BritishCouncil.Org as your contact
  4. Include your organisation name

Once you have registered, we will send you a link to access the assets through the Brand Hub.

Assets include Facebook/Instagram and Twitter banners. Promotional videos and films of previous Alumni Award winners. There is also social media copy you can use to share the assets on your channels. Posts with the #UKAlumniAwards will all appear on our celebration wall here: https://walls.io/StudyUKAlumniAwards 

In the downloads section at the bottom of the page you can also find template copy you can send to your alumni to encourage them to apply.

National award ceremonies

Each year, award ceremonies organised by the British Council take place in countries around the world where winners and finalists gain press opportunities, international audiences, and more importantly, become a part of networking and professional development opportunities in the UK. Also, get an opportunity to build professional networks and business connections.

There is usually a dinner, with opportunities to network and awards presented by the British Council Country Director and the British Ambassador in country.

For 2020-21, some countries were unable to host face-to-face award ceremonies due to Covid-19. These may take place later in the year, but some have chosen to host online ceremonies instead. 

Application reports

You can request a link to view and track completed application from your institution/country, and partial completed application report to encourage your alumni to submit their applications before the deadline. How to apply webinar links to register is below.
