In order to support more Indonesian students to study in the UK, the British Council, together with 12 UK universities, has launched the GREAT Scholarships 2020 – Indonesia programme. With 12 postgraduate scholarships on offer, the total value of Indonesia’s scholarship scheme is £130,000. The single value of each scholarship is a minimum of £10,000. This scholarship scheme will offer an exciting opportunity for Indonesian students wishing to get financial support to pursue postgraduate level study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects including law, business, art and design, biosciences, IT and more, at the 12 participating institutions across the UK.

For academic year 2020/21, Imperial College London is offering three GREAT Scholarships worth £10,000 each: one for Indian students, one for Indonesian student and one for Turkish students, in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering or Medicine. 

Nottingham Trent University

Nottingham Trent University (NTU) is recognised as one of the UK's truly outstanding universities. Over 3,500 international students from over 150 countries create a dynamic student community. NTU is the Guardian University of the Year 2019, and has received a number of prestigious accolades including the coveted Times Higher Education University of the Year in 2017. NTU is offering three scholarships, one for Chinese students, for Indonesian students and one for Turkish students, across a range of postgraduate courses. 

Sheffield Hallam University

For academic year 2020/21, Sheffield Hallam University is offering three scholarships worth £10,000 each, to students from Indonesia, India and Malaysia studying a postgraduate taught degree in any subject (one scholarships per country).

University of Bradford

University of Bristol

With over 6,500 international students from over 140 countries, the University of Bristol has one of the largest and most vibrant international communities in the UK. The University of Bristol is ranked 49th in the QS World University Rankings 2020, cementing its position as a global top 100 university.

For academic year 2020/21, University of Bristol is offering three GREAT Scholarships for postgraduate study worth £10,000, one for Malaysian students, one for Indonesian students and one for Thai students.

University of Cambridge

Cambridge has attracted many of the very best minds since it was first established in 1209.  It comprises more than 20,000 students, including 7,500 graduate students (of whom about 50% are from outside the UK). The University of Cambridge is offering four master's scholarships worth £20,000 each: one for Indian students, one for Malaysian students, one for Indonesian students, and one for Chinese students. 

University of Dundee

University of Glasgow

Glasgow is offering two GREAT scholarships, one for Chinese students and one for Indonesian students, both worth £10,000 in the following subject areas: Arts and Humanities, Life Sciences, Social Sciences (excluding business management and related), Physical Sciences, Chemistry and Geography. 

University of Leeds
