GREAT Scholarships at the University of Manchester

The University of Manchester is offering GREAT Scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year, each worth at least £10,000.

Scholarships are available for students from:

  • Bangladesh*
  • France*
  • Greece*
  • India*
  • Indonesia*
  • Nigeria*
  • Pakistan*
  • Thailand*
  • Turkey*
  • Vietnam*

For Bangladesh, Indonesia, Pakistan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam, the scholarships are available for all taught master's programmes, except otherwise stated.

For France and Greece, the scholarships are available for all taught master's programmes in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures, and Alliance Manchester Business School.

For India, the scholarships are available for all taught master's programmes in the School of Arts, Languages and Cultures.

For Nigeria, the scholarships are for all taught master's programmes in Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health and Faculty of Science and Engineering related to science and technology.

* Scholarships will be offered for the study of full time, on-campus postgraduate taught (MA, MSc) programmes only. Applications for MBA, MPhil, MEnt, Master of Architecture (MArch), Architecture & Urbanism (MA) and Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Clinical Medicine and Dentistry degrees are not eligible for the award. Applicants for the following Master’s by Research courses will not be eligible:
